Google announced that it was going to buy Gizmo5 as it gives an opportunity to add VoIP capabilities to Google Voice and provides a platform in order to improve Google Wave.
At present Google Voice can offer various sets of calling as well as communications features but still it is considered as an accessory-pack that enlarge the functionality of the voice services that a user has already had it.
